If you are noticing you aren’t as close to the Lord as you once were. Maybe it’s the cares of the world which have crept in (Mt 13:22); maybe disappointment and hurts (Emmaus), maybe distractions – even religious ones, maybe the “I thoughts” of life have numbed you, maybe you have just drifted (Heb 2:1); whatever the reason this is the time to return with greater zeal and passion and determination than you have ever walked in! NOW IS THE TIME!
The remedy is to first to REMEMBER where you once walked (Re 2:5 Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.) Miss some meals and find your hunger for the things of God again. Force yourself to bend the knee before His Awesome Majesty – you’ll wonder why you ever let yourself slip. Open your Bible again…You’ll be amazed at what fresh things God has to say to you! (2Ti 3:15). Keep it simple (2Co 11:3)
Things in the world are shaking and changing but the Kingdom will never be shaken! Wake up you who are drowsy; a shift has taken place – it isn’t too late! James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. The Lord does not want us to be unaware of the times in which we live. It is His Heart for us to be in step with the Holy Spirit! (Galatians 5:25). He wants to reveal to us things to come! (Jeremiah 33:3, John 16:13).
We were born for such a time as this!
